Scholarships

General Information

There are scholarships available for both individuals and organizations who would like to participate in the 2023 Poverty Matters! Conference but are unable to afford the cost of registration and travel.

Scholarship recipients are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. We do not provide
transportation.

Scholarship include the following:

• Conference registration fee
• Two nights lodging for participants traveling over 60 miles. WISCAP will make your hotel room
  reservation
• Mileage reimbursement is considered in certain cases.
• Scholarship are available for both individuals and organizations.  Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 31.

Am I eligible for a Scholarship?

To qualify based on personal financial need:

• Your annual income must be at or below 150% of the federal poverty guidelines (refer to the table to the right)

To qualify based on organizational financial need:

• Organization must have an operating budget of less than $200,000 or a program budget of less than $50,000
• No more than two scholarships will be granted per organization.
• Must send a copy of organization’s operating or program budget and a signed statement by your supervisor. Email this information to Amber at aduddy@wiscap.org.

Eligible applicants should submit an online application for an individual or organization scholarship by 5pm on Monday, August 28th. Late applications are not considered.
